2024 Kitchen Trends

Wondering what design features will be all the rage in 2024 kitchens? We’ve done all the research to help you get ahead of the crowd 👩‍🎓

Limitless interior design

With a big kitchen space comes even bigger possibilities, especially when the interiors world is more open-minded than ever. We’ve seen all-black industrial kitchens and endless terrazzo countertops, but it’s now about designing a space that best aligns with your personality.

If you’re all about maximalism, experiment with retro tones and playful, curved details. Or, if you live a more conscious, minimalist lifestyle, then eco-friendly materials and muted tones may be your cup of tea ☕

With a range of newly-launched collections, we’ll walk you through each of our kitchen trend predictions, plus hardware for you to instantly update your space. Our Co-Founder, Tom Revill, also spreads his wisdom on 2024 kitchen design trends 👨‍🏫

Earth-first materials

Aluminum collection

Year by year, there is an increasing awareness of the climate crisis, causing people to adjust their lifestyles to better protect the planet. As such, home-owners and designers are shifting focus towards eco-friendly materials and sourcing secondhand furniture.

Natural materials will be seen throughout kitchen designs, whether that’s cork flooring, bamboo worktops or responsible cabinet hardware. Hop on the trend with our Aluminum Collection, which generates less carbon emissions than hardware produced from brass or stainless steel. The plus? Aluminum is infinitely recyclable ♻

“To try out the earth-first kitchen trend, introduce elevated earthy tones to your scheme, like pale yellows and leafy greens. Stick to eco-conscious materials, such as a cork splashback and dark oak countertops, to create a sleek and considered kitchen space,” according to Tom.

Ornate details

Originally seen in ornate, spherical shaped furniture legs during the 17th Century, the bobbin motif has re-gained popularity over the past year, often on bar stools, mirrors and picture frames. In 2024, we’re taking it up a notch and welcoming the striking bobbin motif on finer kitchen details, such as cabinet hardware 🌟

Old meets new when modern, flat-front cabinets are topped off with our upcoming BOBBIN Collection. Both the classic brass and bold black finish make a true statement against powder blue kitchen cabinets 🔵

”Beyond the bobbin motif, we'll expect 2024 kitchen designs to embrace sculptural pendant lights, featuring ribbed glass and unique, curved forms, as well as splashbacks using handmade Moroccan Zellige tiles,” states Tom.

Back to old-school

farmhouse-inspired cabinet hardware

Say goodbye to prim n’ proper modern design, and bring on the cozy, idyllic farmhouse look.

Having spent plenty of time at home during the pandemic, many retreated inside their family homes, embracing a more cozy, lived-in space. We’ll continue to create that familiar feeling by welcoming vintage-inspired design features, such as shiplap walls, fluted apron front sinks, as well as built-in pantries with barn doors or double larder units.

Introduce the old-school trend to your kitchen with our Aged Brass range. We’ve evolved our warm brass finish to create a more mature, organic look that will age naturally, now available across our HUDSON Collection 🤎

Tom predicts that “in 2024, we’ll see plenty of shaker-style kitchens with paneled splashbacks and cabinetry painted with warm, enveloping colors, such as chocolate brown, all topped off with contrasting, vintage-inspired homeware.”

Retro revival

ALVA Collection

Chunky, ‘70s-inspired cylindrical shapes have been the talk of the interiors town and, in 2024, we’re ditching straight edges altogether. Combined with the sleek, tubular steel of Bauhaus design, the latest retro revival trend helps reinvent minimalist silhouettes ⚪

Our ALVA Collection features a playful, tubular design that will effortlessly add a retro touch to your kitchen cabinetry. Pair our ALVA D-Bar with its matching knob, and opt for a bright brass finish to contrast against your retro-colored cabinetry 🍊

Tom says, “kitchen designs in 2024 will feature curved end counters, rounded splashbacks, and tubular details. We’ll see bold ‘70s colors on kitchen walls and cabinetry, including punchy oranges, avocado greens and even mustard yellows.”
